It’s Not ‘Universal Health Care’ If Your Health Coverage Sucks
By Capitalist in ChiefImplementing ‘universal health care’ where everyone, from Bill Gates to an illegal alien working for minimum wage, is covered is very easy! All we have to do is declare that everyone in this country is covered, but that coverage is limited to providing patients with Aspirin pills.
While more comprehensive than just Aspirin, government administered health care systems around the globe similarly give the illusion that everyone has access to health care by first declaring that everyone has coverage, but then limiting what that coverage is.
And why is that? For the same reasons every other socialist system fails to live up to its promise:
1. Any system where some people are put in charge of OTHER people’s lives and OTHER people’s money is not going to be a paragon of efficiency, to say the least.
2. The government is limited in it’s ability to collect taxes from its citizens to fund it.
(You can read more about why socialism doesn’t work here.)
In the following video, Steven Crowder investigates the long waiting times and health care denial people experience in Canada’s government run health care system:
But of course, Obama’s plan is going to be different. He’s the savior. He knows how to avoid all the traps that every other socialist program that ever existed fell into. He’s going to come up with a “uniquely American plan”… Not!
