In an interview for a French TV station, Barack Obama said the following:

If you actually took the number of Muslims Americans, uh, we’d be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.

When you invent facts in order to desperately make others (Muslims?) like you, you end up sounding silly.

Maybe it’s wishful thinking on Obama’s part, but population wise, the US is not even close to being “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.” The US has between 3 and 5 million Muslims. On the other hand, Turkey has about 70 million, Egypt – 75 million, Bangladesh – 130 million, India – 150 million, Pakistan – 165 million, Indonesia – 200 million. Now those are some large Muslim populations! In comparison, the US is one of the SMALLEST Muslim countries in the world.
